Greetings to you all
The Sun is currently in Aquarius
21 January to 19 February 2010

When the Sun is in Aquarius people look to the future for inspiration and make plans to clear out the old and bring in the new. It is fitting after making plans for the New Year to reassess and readjust them to fit in with our long-term goals. Aquarius is broad in approach and considers the effects on all levels, adjusting to cover all bases. Sometimes, Aquarians methods are unorthodox but often ahead of its time, aware of the future before it unfolds. In Mundane terms, Aquarius rules local authorities, societies, trade unions, groups, adoptions and friends of the Nation. On a personal level, Aquarius is about friendships, relationships with groups of people, and hopes and dreams.
When the Sun enters Aquarius the fun begins. This sign is a revolutionary and likes to be different, unique and controversial. So, at this time expect the unexpected. If you have a developed sense of the absurd then you will relish this month, otherwise you might feel off balance and somewhat compromised. Try to see life from a higher perspective and you might just learn something new, about yourself and others. Social and political agendas come to the fore - watch politicans and social reformers worldwide speak up and out. Aquarius is concerned about the greater good offering support for social justice groups and likes to rally support for causes that aim to change things for the better. You may find yourself involved in a group that decides to change the rules, revamp the meeting venue, or take up a new cause. They say there's nothing new in the universe but there is always a new way of looking at your life. Try it.
Saturn is the Traditional Ruling Planet - Uranus is the Modern Ruler
Saturn was a major Roman god of agriculture, justice and strength often depicted with a sickle in his left hand and a sheaf of wheat in his right (the Grim Reaper). Amongst his many children were Jupiter, Ceres and Veritas. He is also associated with the primordial deity Chronos from Greek mythology, the lord and personification of time. He was represented as a serpent with three heads - a man, a bull and a lion. He and his serpentine consort gave birth to the earth, sea and sky. Alternatively he is portrayed as a wise old man, as Father Time.
The planet Saturn is the furthest planet visible to the naked eye and as such rules limits and boundaries, of our vision, our body (the skin) and our actions (the law). Saturn is cold and dry, deliberate and slow in action, unemotional and authoritarian. On a personal level, the planet rules how we deal with responsibilty and structure our lives. It also describes our fears and what holds us back from forward progress. It's energy is conservative and contracting, enforces the law and respects hierarchy. Saturn brings darkness, death and sadness - it counters the excess and overindulgence of Jupiter. On a positive note, Saturn creates solidity and gives lasting form to the physical. And to release sadness one must retract blame and take personal responsibility for our situation in life.
Uranus, the great sky god, son of Gaia who then became his wife. They had many children. Aghast and fearful of his children, he forced Gaia to swallow their children after giving birth to them, which of course caused her much pain. To stop him from impregnating her further, the youngest son Chronus (Saturn) cut off Uranus' genitals one night when he lay with Gaia. After this, the sky (Uranus) separated from the earth (Gaia) and Chronus became king of the gods, until he was overthrown by Zeus who became the supreme god of the Greek Pantheon. Astrologically, Uranus in your chart shows your need for independence, your gift of originality and innovation, and where upsets, surprises and unexpected events may occur. If Uranus is active in your chart then you like to look at life with rainbow glasses on as well as using your intuition. Uranus is associated with inventions, computers, cutting-edge technology and the future. It is a generational planet associated with revolutions, uprisings, and earth-shattering events.
The 11th House is the associated domain
Our hopes, wishes, goals and aspirations for the future belong in this house. Whenever we join a group, club, cause or association it will rest here, described by the sign on the cusp and planets placed within. It is said to be a house of luck and good fortune but it will depend on the disposition of ruling planet. In this house we gain the love and support of friends and aquaintances, and possible promotions through recommendation. The partner's children also reside here, as well as how you accept love given to you.

Celestial Indications
23rd September to 22nd December 2009
At the September Equinox the sun crosses the equatorial plane so that at the Equator at noon, the sun is seen overhead. In the Southern Hemisphere, it marks the beginning of spring, a time where we emerge from the depths of winter into the fresh mild air and the increasing warmth of lengthening days. Libra is the sign of the scales and the Equinox is a point of balance between night and day. Harmony and balance are keywords to this time of the year.
What does the Libra Ingress chart reveal for the next 3 months? Does it reflect an existing harmony or is there need to bring harmony into being through deliberate means?
The Sun forms a tight but waning square to Pluto. A waning square marks the beginning of a more spiritual, inner or meta-physical experience. At the opposition, what was conceived at the conjunction is made physically manifest. It is now time to retreat, to take stock to disseminate or consolidate, where justice prevails and the balance is restored. Therefore, whatever appears to be going nowhere we will sever our personal connection, cut the cord and move on. "For better or for worse", we are beyond it. It is interesting to note that the Stock Market tends to crash in October. The powers that be are trying hard to consolidate their energies into single mega entities but the collective will may not wish it to be so. Sun in Libra demands balance and the balance is extremely out.
Mercury conjoins Saturn to oppose Uranus. Mercury is retrograde internalizing communications. Negotiations will go on behind the scenes, and while the outcome may be serious it suggests a review of commercial applications. No doubt this draws in the breakup of Telstra, which may be beneficial in the long run but perhaps not for the stock holders. Mercury also represents the Media, who may be told to hold back on information and only report the bare minimum. Retrograde, it could imply mistakes made with facts, misinformation and lies or manufactured news. Opposing Uranus, whatever happens it will certainly have a level of shock value. Perhaps too innovation paves the way for a new way of communicating. But remember it is in opposition so conflict and friction will feature. Perhaps the fringe news outlets, who always oppose censorship, will take centre stage, and all the accolades with it.
While the Moon in the Ingress chart makes a statement that colours the mood of spring. Moon in Scorpio is intense, passionate, moody, brooding, vengeful and relentless. This suggests is a deeply troubled public who do not trust the powers that be, most especially politicians. They want their needs taken seriously, or else! In hard aspect to Chiron, a deep resentment will comes with the dawning realisation of the failure of global financial recovery. Political manoeuvers have tried to bandaid the situation by pouring large sums of money into crumbling banks and corporations. It is doubtful they have invested wisely. In Australia we have remained relatively unscathed – to date. In time we will feel the repercussion of the global downturn, which is promised to surface during the course of the next 3 months. Using the Sun as a timer, mid-November is indicated as the moment the mood will take a sharp downturn. But it is important for people to grasp the reality of placing responsibility in the hands of greedy power mongers. No pain, no gain. The triple conjunction of Jupiter-Chiron-Neptune has given us false hope and is the reason the bandaid was applied but with a hard aspect to the Moon the people will no longer put up with the B.S. It is a precursor to the cardinal t-square coming mid next year. Power to the people, but not in a floral, hippy fashion. No. This time the people will turn nasty if government and corporations don't heed the warning. Social and political change is in our midst and growing in strength every day.
